Wedding Coordination - it's all about
communication
Most couples today cannot afford to hire a wedding coordinator so who
is supposed to make sure everything runs smoothly on the big day? It shouldn't
be the bride or groom.
An organized bride will ask a friend,
who is a good communicator and even has experience managing projects at work,
to act as their designated on-site wedding manager. This special person
will communicate to all vendors during the wedding reception so the newlyweds
remain "stress free".
A big mistake that couples make is trying
to manage the reception themselves and sometimes worse - asking their mother
to be the point person. Your wedding day is an emotional event and managing
the caterer, cake person, florist, DJ, and photographer - requires someone
who is cool under pressure at all times.
Break Wedding Tradition
A common challenge at most weddings is getting all of your guests to be in
attendance during the cake cutting ceremony.
The problem is with the traditional
wedding time-line: following dinner many guests have left the room to
go to the bathroom, get some air, make a phone call or smoke a cigarette
outside.
A great way to solve this is to
shy away from the traditional time line of the "specials" part of the
wedding. Instead of waiting until after dinner -- do the cake cutting
ceremony just after you are being announced or just after your toast.
By integrating this more contemporary
approach, you will be sure to have your guests' undivided attention! We
see more and more couples planning this step which makes their wedding
flow smoother.
6-hour Tealights
To enhance your serving or dining area, tealights are an economical solution
that are sure to warm up any room.
Many of you already know that you
can also buy inexpensive tealight candle holders made of glass, ceramic
material and wood that dress up your presentation. In
order to make sure that your candles burn bright all night, make sure
you buy "6-hour" rated tealights!
While all tealights may look the
same, these burn twice as long as standard tealights. This is commonly
over-looked by most people and a best kept catering secret. |
